As the houses in Orissa were  situated very far from each other, it was highly essential  to have a house near the Ruthungia convent. As a response to the constant invitation from Bishop Mar Raphael Cheenath (Bishop of Bhuvaneswar diocese) a small building was built and inaugurated a convent at Simonbady.  Later on 14th June 2010, the newly constructed convent cum hostel building was blessed by Arch Bishop Rt. Rev. Dr. John Barwa, to provide shelter and education to the poor. Sisters are working in school run by the Capuchin fathers and also involve actively in the parish ministry.
